Greater Augusta FCA and Warren Baptist Church are pleased to announce that a PGA professional with local ties has agreed to speak at this year’s Masters Week Golf Breakfast.
Scott Brown, a North Augusta High School and USC-Aiken graduate, has agreed to headline the 2017 outreach event and will be joined on stage by his wife, Allison. The couple will be the first husband and wife team to anchor this event since Zach and Kim Johnson did so back in 2006.
Brown is currently ranked #115 in the World Golf Rankings and 47th in the FedEx Cup rankings while maintaining a scoring average of 70.839. His best finish came in 2013 when he won the Puerto Rico Open. In his 5+ seasons on the PGA Tour, Brown has enjoyed 16 “Top 10” and 29 “Top 25” finishes.
This year’s free breakfast takes place on Tuesday, April 4, at 7AM in the Family Life Center at Warren Baptist Church. Past speakers have included the likes of Aaron Baddeley, K.J. Choi, Stewart Cink, Ben Crane, Fred Funk, Zach Johnson, Bernhard Langer, Tom Lehman, and Larry Mize.
In addition to his professional playing career in golf, Brown is married to the former Allison Jones and they currently reside in Aiken, South Carolina, where they are enjoying raising their two children together. Scott and Allison are people of solid faith, close family connection, and believe strongly in serving their local area through their heavy involvement in numerous charities.
